It´s that time of year again / Es la epoca otra vez

It´s that time of year again and we´re getting ready over here in the Brujas Blancas Household.  Every year it has been a tradtion for our family to celebrate this holiday and we just love the prep work, decorations, recipes, costumes, games and all the fun that goes along with  H A L L O W E E N!  Our kids are grown now but still enjoy the fun and join in on our little Fright Night Every Year that we do for friends and neighborhood kids.  I will be posting ideas, halloween recipes, and will be posting pics of our little party this year.  Hope you all enjoy! 

 

Vuelve esa época del año en la que nos preparamos en la Casa de Las Brujas Blancas. Para nosotros ha sido una tradición familiar, celebrar cada año esta fiesta que nos fascina, desde la decoración, las recetas, los juegos,llevarlo a cabo en general con toda la diversión que conlleva el HALLOWEEN! Nuestros hijos han crecido, pero todavía disfrutamos de la diversión y colaboramos en nuestra Noche de Miedo.Celebramos dicha fiesta con los niños del vecindario. Publicaré ideas, recetas de Halloween, y así como las fotos de nuestra pequeña fiesta de este año. Espero que todos disfruten!


We thought this would be fun for the neighborhood kids to make to and sit in a window on Halloween Night. It´s a fun easy and cheap project to make with great results!  Cut the top off a 1.5 to 2 liter soft drink bottle.  Draw a face with a marker on the bottle.  Carefully cut out (better let an adult do this part) the eyes, nose, and mouth with a cutter or sissors.  The children can paint the inside of the bottle with tempera paint.  Wa La!  Halloween votif that makes pumpkin shadows on the wall!  Perfect for the eerry night!




Uno de mis consejos que son divertidos para los niños del barrio en la noche de Halloween. Es una actividad simple barata con buenos resultados, repito muy fácil! Corta la parte superior de la botella de una refresco de aproximadamente 1,5 a 2 L, a continuación dibuja una cara con un permanente en la botella, después corte con cuidado (preferiblemente un adulto haga esta parte) unos ojos, nariz y boca con tijeras o un cutter. Finalmente los niños pueden pintar el interior de la botella con temperas y Walá! Tu Halloween estará iluminada de sombras de calabazas en la pared, perfecta para una noche de miedo.

I had a left over new dryer vent from our kitchen renovation last year and thought I would put it to use.  I´ve made four of these out of one dryer vent.
